Research Hypothesis and Data Collection

We collected data to verify our hypothesis that LCC is more dangerous than FCS.

Key Findings from Weighted Logistic Regression

Finding 1: Logit Coefficients (Map A)

Map A visualizes the coefficient magnitudes from the weighted logistic regression analysis. It shows that the ‘is_low_cost’ variable has the strongest influence on the likelihood of an event occurring.

Finding 2: Causal Loop Diagram (Map B)

Map B is our system map. It demonstrates a complex system where multiple factors—such as the direct impact of airline type (LCC) on accident rates, as well as interactions between bad weather and pilot experience years—interact with each other.
